x64 Components addon 2.7.3MKV playback is fully supported in x64 Media Center on all versions of Windows.
To setup FLAC audio playback in Windows Media Center you must initially select the x64 WMP as the default player. For Windows 7 Media Center users, this can be set back to the 32bit afterwards.

This release is designed to compliment the 32bit codec packages.
The installation requires the 32bit codec release to be installed as a prerequisite.

Adding files to the Windows Media Player Playlist
On the Help TAB of the 32bit Settings Application is a button to allow you to choose Windows Media Player Filetype Associations. This buttons functionality is GLOBAL and is not restricted to the 32bit environment. Once you have used this button, you can Enqueue newly associated filetypes to the Windows Media Player Playlist as depicted below. It also sets up Media Center to utilize the associations for seamless playback in that player also. If for some reason this doesn’t work for you, go back to the associations button, click No twice, consecutively, then select Yes. No reboot is required.This will also work for audio files such as FLAC, APE or musepack.Some Useful Information
2 versions of Windows Media Player exist on x64 systems.
There is a 32bit version stored in \Program Files (x86)\
and a 64bit version stored in \Program Files\The Settings Application will allow you to choose the system’s default player.You can expect ongoing x64 support as the rest of the world catches up to 64bit computing. UNINSTALL YOUR OLD VERSION
